Kathgodam Railway Station (KGM), 35 km south of Nainital, serves as the premier railhead with direct Shatabdi, Ranikhet Express, and Uttar Sampark Kranti services from Delhi. For Corbett, Ramnagar Railway Station (RMR) offers direct rail links. Pantnagar Airport (PGH, 70 km from Nainital, 80 km from Ramnagar) provides regional flights, while Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL, approx. 280-300 km) handles primary domestic and international arrivals.

Mallital and Tallital around Naini Lake provide central hill-station access to the promenade, ropeway, and Naina Peak. NH-9 runs eastward from Delhi via Hapur, Moradabad bypass, and Rampur to Rudrapur, where NH-109 ascends through Haldwani and Kathgodam to Nainital (approx. 300 km, 6 to 7 hours). For Jim Corbett, travelers branch north from Moradabad on NH-309 through Kashipur directly to Ramnagar (approx. 250 km, 5 to 6 hours). The picturesque Kaladhungi road connects Nainital and Corbett across 65 km via Corbett Falls.
